Hi, I’m Rishab Borah. I’m a high school junior, and I’m interested in AI for its simulation potential. I’ve always loved making stories — there’s a published fiction book out there with my name on it — and I’ve always been very interested in the stories one can create with an AI. AI’s can learn and develop behaviors and I find that extremely interesting.

When I was in Inspirit AI Scholars, I worked with Dhruv Kedia. We did object detection (self-driving cars), and while I found the image convolution interesting, I didn’t really get into it. I think I’m more interested in causing something to exist than checking if something exists.

I’m going to start this blog about AI in games. I’m interested in the usages of AI to simulate personalities, humane non-player characters, and the like. I’m particularly interested in a GPT-3 project by Latitude called AI Dungeon, as well as the applications of the Minecraft world in relation to AI — the Minecraft world has a fixed ruleset, openly generated terrain, and no definite goal, so it is a gold mine for AI experiments.

This blog is mainly for people interested in the simulative applications of AI. AI is a long way from intelligence, but it can do some very interesting simulative things. Its potential in art, storytelling, and video games are very interesting, and I hope artists, writers, and even gamers would be interested in this use of AI. I want to do some research to maybe attempt to use AI machine learning in the Minecraft world.
